Stores built and marketed per market

Stores that sell in more than one language and one currency

We build and market ecommerce sites for businesses selling across borders. Product content, search, checkout and delivery expectations are handled per market, because the reason an overseas customer abandons a basket is rarely the product.

  • Shopify, WooCommerce and CS‑Cart builds
  • Ecommerce development since 2005
  • Localised product content by native speakers
  • International SEO and paid search included

Built to sell abroad

Where international stores lose money

Getting a store in front of an overseas customer is the straightforward part. The losses happen further down: product titles translated word for word so nobody finds them, delivery costs and duty that appear only at the final step, a payment method the market does not use, and support content available only in English.

We work through the whole journey per market – how customers search, what the category and product pages need to say, what the checkout must offer, and what happens after the order. Then the marketing is planned against the markets that can actually fulfil profitably.

Platforms

Ecommerce platforms we build on

The right choice depends on catalogue size, how different pricing and tax are per market, and who maintains the store.

How we work

How we sequence it

  1. 01

    Pick the markets worth serving

Demand, margin after shipping and duty, and whether fulfilment can support the volume.

  2. 02

    Localise the catalogue by revenue

Best-selling lines first, in full, rather than a shallow translation across thousands of products.

  3. 03

Fix the checkout for each market

Payment, delivery and tax handled before traffic is bought, not after conversion rates disappoint.

  4. 04

    Trade and optimise

Ongoing SEO, paid media and conversion work reported per market against revenue and ROAS.

When Magento 1 reached its end of life, Counter Editions needed its UK, EU and US stores moved without losing a detail of the design. We rebuilt them as one Magento 2 site that shows visitors the store for their country, euro pricing included, with stock-based pricing in multiple currencies and a link to the FileMaker inventory system.

Frequently asked questions

Which ecommerce platforms do you use for international selling?

Shopify, WooCommerce and CS‑Cart cover most requirements. The right choice depends on catalogue size, how different pricing and tax are per market, and who maintains the store.

How do you handle product content in several languages?

Product data is structured so each language has its own titles, descriptions and metadata, written or reviewed by native speakers. Large catalogues are prioritised by revenue rather than translated all at once.

Can you deal with currency, tax and shipping per market?

Yes, within what the platform supports. We configure currency presentation, tax rules and shipping options, and we flag early where a requirement needs an integration rather than a setting.

We sell internationally already but conversion is poor outside the UK. What now?

Usually a checkout and trust problem rather than a traffic one: unfamiliar payment methods, unclear delivery and duty, English‑only support pages. It is worth auditing the journey per market before spending more on ads.
