This website has been designed to be as accessible as possible while keeping its visual interest. The main features are summarised below.
Keyboard navigation
Every menu, link, form field and button on this site can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, without a mouse or other pointing device. Focus is visible as you move through the page, and the tab order follows the reading order of the content.
Structure and screen readers
Pages use proper heading levels, landmarks and descriptive link text so that screen readers can announce the structure of a page and move between its sections. Images carry alternative text where they convey meaning, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
Text and readability
Text can be resized in your browser without content being lost or overlapping. We aim to keep colour contrast at a level that remains readable, and we avoid relying on colour alone to communicate meaning.
Motion
Animation on this site is kept restrained, and it is switched off automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.
Mobile and other devices
The site is built to work across desktop, tablet and mobile, and across current browsers, rather than being optimised for one device or browser.
