Exceeding Benchmarks with TikTok Influencers
We recently worked on an exciting new project with one of our longstanding clients, RealD 3D.
We work on various social campaigns on different platforms in 4 main languages - German, French, English, and US English for RealD. The objective of our work is to increase the awareness of films released in 3D by showcasing the benefits of seeing a film #inRealD3D.
We recently pitched a TikTok influencer campaign for their biggest film in years - and man, did it pay off!
The goal was to work with influencers to raise awareness of the film in 3D in Germany, France, and the UK.
We had 3 personas we knew we wanted to reach, so when compiling our list, we ensured their audiences matched at least one of these. We then put a short list together and got them approved by the production company releasing the film.
We recommended the client take a nano-influencer approach rather than spending thousands of £££’s on one or two big names. Not only did we get to work with more people - but their posts came off as more genuine.
Once our influencers were approved - we put a brief together that helped them create engaging posts (they loved this -it took the thinking out of it for them) and sent them to see the film with one of their friends.
We asked that they share only their honest opinions - and due to our careful selection - they were all raving reviews!
As the goal was awareness - the KPI we focused on for this project was impressions.
How did our results hold up against our benchmarks?
We exceeded our benchmark by 18%!
The effects of influencer marketing happen off-platform. While we care about the stats and data - what really matters is word of mouth and how many people were influenced to see the film in 3D. The client has internal benchmarks on what they expect from each film - at the end of the project; they fed back that they were well over what they had predicted.

As this was the biggest film for the client in the year, the stakes were high. We knew the client needed to do something new and fun for this film. TikTok was something we had been wanting to test with them for a while - we are so glad we finally got to!
