The brief
A new look for the Arab world's top literary prize
IPAF rewards excellence in contemporary Arabic creative writing, and encourages international readership of Arabic literature through translating and publishing winning and shortlisted novels.
They asked us to reinvent the look of their website, in both Arabic and English.
How we did it
Two languages, one experience
01
Culturally matched design
Designed for the cultures it targets, with background and banner imagery to match.
02
Right-to-left viewing
Arabic pages that read naturally from right to left.
03
Smooth language switch
A smooth transition between languages, handled on both the back end and the front end.
The result
A great experience in both languages
Arabic and English readers each get a site that feels made for them.
