ExtraDigital handled the website design, development and SEO strategy for two supply chain and logistics companies that merged in July 2018. They are established as one of the leading, UK-based, Supply Chain and Logistics Consultancies operating in the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and the USA.
Six months have passed, and we want to highlight
some of the great results we have seen so far.
It was essential to ensure we retained the domain authority from the historical performance of at least one of the domains. Upon the client's website going live, ExtraDigital had an SEO strategy in place to quickly regain the performance levels experienced by the former websites.
However, the work to ensure our success happened long-before the site launch and was an integral part of the site build, and was achieved through a course of systematic redirects. During development, we migrated all the content from the two former sites and generated redirects to ensure no value was lost from previous links.
Regaining positions in SERPs
Since the site went live, we have implemented our SEO strategy, and we are seeing great results. The client's website has recovered and improved on top SERP positions for its monitored search terms. This is a fantastic recovery and improvement of the results achieved by the two former sites independently.
Hold on! What's a SERP?
Search Engine Results Pages (SERP) are the pages displayed by search engines in response to a query by a user. The core element of the SERP is the results that are returned by the search engine in response to a keyword query, their position on the SERP is know as the page rank. The pages may also although the pages may also contain other results such as advertisements.
Increase in Organic Traffic
The improved ranking positions have had the additional impact of increasing the volume of traffic from Organic Search, the most cost-effective form of lead generation.
As a testament to our website design, in addition to these fantastic results in regaining Search Appearance and driving traffic to the new site, the client has seen both the number and quality of conversions improve.
Bringing together two of the marketing leaders in Supply Chain and Logistics Consulting is resonating with their audience and producing improved results across the board. We look forward to continuing our work with our client and assisting in their growth!
